From the vanity of life and the thoughts of our minds, having gathered into one, we lift up the eyes of our souls and bodies to your icon, the Mother of God, and we cry out to you: do not, O Most Pure One, leave us weak in our sins to be corrupted, do not allow the evil demon Drive away our souls from Thy Son into the wilds of passions, but help us to always remember His commandments, so that we give ourselves over to fornication, and reproach each other with malice, but as today, Thy holiness lies ahead, about the direction of our life with jealousy We are inflamed, so having departed from Thy church to our own homes, we strive to preserve this good intention.
For now, our bodily needs are satisfied, and our sorrows are healed by Your prayer, O All-Singing One. We know that it is more appropriate for us to endure all this graciously and to ask the Lord for patience in sorrows: but for the time being our souls faint in sorrow and the thoughts of our despondency shake our faith, for this reason in contrition of hearts to we cry to you. Just as you healed countless sick sufferers and comforted the grieving, so you also fall before your miraculous icon and hear those praying to you in sorrow, and fulfill all requests for good, give health to the sick, give consolation to the grieving, in enmity God sends peace to those who exist, and affirmation of faith to those who doubt.
Hear Thy sinful servants, O Most Pure One, raise us up to praise Thy thanksgiving, may the faith of Thy people increase, may Thy intercession be glorified in them, so that the Kingdom of Thy Son may be established in our midst, to whom all glory, honor and worship befits, with His Beginning Father, with the Most Holy and Good and By His life-giving Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages.
