Every day and hour, falling in my contrite and humble heart, I confess to You, the Almighty, Lord Jesus Christ our God, who came into the world to seek the lost and save the lost, of whom I am the first: I have lost my way from the right path that leads to life, I have strayed into the wilds of lust, I am a sinkhole in the mire of my iniquities, I was gored by the thorns of my deeds: seeing me, the enemy, sick with sins, wants to inflict even more cruel harm on my accursed soul. But I pray to You, the Only Savior, I call upon You, the All-merciful Lover of Mankind, for help: do not disdain me, O most gracious Lord, and do not cast me away from Your face, even if I have done all the evil before You: for I resort to You and confess all my sins. I have come near to all Thy commandments, obeying the dumb lusts: working the flesh to defile the soul.

Trusting in Thy abundant bounty, I offer Thee this sinful prayer: having listened to me, O Lord, having promised to listen to those who faithfully call upon Thee: send Thy Angel to me, that He may rebuke all those who fight with me with an evil spirit, that those who seek my soul may be ashamed and disgraced, and that all striving may be required from my heart, from may the rising of hostile lust always be with me, guard me, and instruct me in all good deeds, and on every day bring my unworthy prayers to You, God and the Creator. Therefore, You, Most Holy King, worshiped by all creation, love the righteous, never depart from You, and have mercy on sinners, turning in repentance to You who calls everyone to salvation, direct my feet to Your commandments, nail my flesh to Your fear, cleanse my heart with orthodoxy, fill my lips with grace, tame my tongue humbly say, sanctify your soul with the Holy Spirit, correct your thoughts and not cling to earthly things, elevate your mind with the wing of prudence, and make all of me unworthy, so that I may appear worthy before You.

And as you have vouchsafed me to pass on the days that have passed, so grant me, O Lover of mankind, the days to come, without stumbling, to pass peacefully and pleasingly: so that in this life, remembering and magnifying Your most holy name, and thereby enlightened, I will remain without any darkness even until the day and hour of my departure: and when I am separated my soul from my body, grant to me, my Most Blessed Creator, to find joy before the majesty of Your glory in eternal life, through the prayers of Our Most Pure Lady Theotokos and Ever-Virgin Mary, who gave birth to You, and all the saints who have pleased You from time immemorial: for blessed and glorified are You forever and ever.
