Great and wondrous God, who governs all things with inscrutable goodness and rich providence, whose wise but untested destinies accept the varied limits of human life and cohabitation! We confess with gratitude that you did not do it to us because of our iniquities, but you repaid us according to our sins. We have become sinners, O Lord, and lawless, and worthy of Your extreme disgust. But You, O innumerable goodness, are merciful and long-suffering, and repent of the evils of men, Master, having punished us with a brief visit to the former sorrows, You have abundantly fulfilled the wishes and joys of our hearts, having justified Your beloved servant, the most pious, the most autocratic, our great sovereign, the emperor, to reign over us. Nikolai Alexandrovich of all Russia. Make him wise and instruct him to carry out this great service to You without any hesitation: grant him reason and wisdom to judge Your people in truth, and to preserve Your property in silence and without sorrow.

Show him victorious as an enemy, terrible as a villain, merciful and trustworthy as a good one. Warm his heart to show concern to the poor, to welcome the strange, to intercede for those who are attacked. The government subordinate to him, directing him on the path of truth and righteousness, and repelling partiality and bribery, and all the people entrusted to You to His power in unfeigned loyalty: make his father rejoice over his children, and surprise Your mercy on us. Multiply the days of his life in indestructible health and unchangeable well-being: grant in his days to all of us peace, silence and prosperity, the prosperity of the air, the land of fruitfulness, and everything necessary for temporary and eternal life. O our Most Merciful Lord, God of bounties and Father of great joy! Do not turn Your face away from us and do not disgrace us from our hopes; we pray to You, trusting in You, and praying to Your bounty.

For You alone weigh what we demand, and first grant requests, and confirm gifts, and every good gift, and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from You, the Father of lights: To You be glory and power, with Your Only Begotten Son, and Your All-Holy and Good and Life-giving Spirit, now and ever and unto the ages of ages.
