O great angelic surprise, the fulfillment of the prophets, the apostolic sermon, the joy of the martyrs, and the all-desiring and sweet sight of all the saints, the Most Blessed Lady, the Virgin Mother of God, the God-loving Mary! Raise Your hand to Your Son and our God Jesus Christ, praying to Him for us sinners and unworthy Thy servants: restrain His righteous wrath against us, and do not let us perish with our iniquities, implore His ineffable goodness, God-loving Virgin: for we are flesh and blood and the work of His most pure hands: even we have sinned, but we know no other God than Your Son. Look then, O Lady Lady, at Thy people standing before Thy holy icon, and tenderly at the nude, as if at Thy Mother of our God Herself, looking and asking from You for great and rich mercies, O Mother of children!
Ask Thy Son, Christ our God, for correction of our lives: for we are disappearing from the wrath of God, because we are so bitter about His goodness and much mercy, constantly crucifying Him with nasty deeds, with hostile envy, consuming each other with anger, wretched and orphaned, offending, despising the fear of God: also with fornication and uncleanness and By drunkenness we are all defiled, like a dumb animal lying in the stinking mud, and the richly woven clothes received from Holy Baptism are finally torn apart. Also, by Your intercession, cover us with an honest robe, saving us from the wrath of God, so that the fire that descends does not burn us, accursed in our sins. but most of all, with all the righteous prophets and apostles and martyrs and all your saints, comfort us with the bright contemplation of your ineffable shrines, and we all call to you with fear: Rejoice, full of grace, the Lord is with you, blessed is the Hope of our souls. O God-loving Queen!
Grant us, Thy sinful servants, to be at the right hand at the Second Coming of Thy Son and heirs of the existence of the Kingdom of Heaven and eternal life with all the saints: for His only power is blessed and glorified forever and ever.
