O All-Honorable and Life-Giving Cross of the Lord, sanctified by the blood of Christ our God! You are the sign of victory against our enemies, visible and invisible: you will appear at the hour of the terrible judgment of Christ. I humbly worship you, honestly touch you and kiss you kindly, offering this prayer to the one crucified on you, that He may heal me by His power in you from all mental and physical ailments, and preserve me from enemies visible and invisible, and place me at His right hand uncondemned at His judgment. On you the Savior, dying for people who died by sins, gave up His spirit as a man, poured out blood and water, and with these three one, which is more needed than all, He created salvation for us, to the glory of the source of living waters of God the Father, but for myself from the blood of virgins God the Son was incarnated, and God the Holy Spirit, quickening the spirit of man: these three in the One Godhead may I also glorify help from the water of baptism received by immaculate faith, in the Communion of the flesh and blood of the Lord with undoubted hope, and in repentance with a contrite spirit, and unfeigned love, so that not only in this life is more deplorable, like water flowing by, but in the future blessed life I will glorify the Lord with the help of your strength, the blessed Cross, and I worship Him with the very face of faith, the desire for possession and the pleasure of the beloved, the One in the Trinity glorified for endless centuries.
