O One Immortal and Unchanging Lord, for Thy ineffable mercy toward man, Thou hast received into Thyself our entire mixture from the blood of the incarnate and double-natured, more than natural births, by Thine own divine-human presence, and by the will of Thy heavenly Father, Thou dost keep us in Thy holy and glorious company, in peace and strength. By Thy reception, O Life-giving and Saviour suffering, Thou hast conquered death, O my soul’s life-giving sufferings of the body.
By Thy burial, O Lord, Thou hast buried the kingdom of hell, burying my sinful thoughts and counsels of deceit, and the deceitful spirits.
By Thy three-day and life-giving resurrection, Thou hast raised up the fallen first man, raising me also who have sinned, presenting to me an image of repentance.
By Thy glorious ascension, Thou hast sanctified the reception, and by Thy divine right hand Thou hast granted me to partake of Thy holy mysteries with a pure heart.
By Thy Comforter’s vision, Thou hast made vessels of honor for Thy Spirit, showing me Thy coming.
Wilt Thou again judge all creation in righteousness, O Lord, meet me on the clouds as Judge and Creator of mine, with all Thy saints: that I may now and ever, and to the ages of ages, praise Thee with Thy unending Father and the Holy Place, the Life-giving Temple. Amen.

O Master, Jesus Christ, our God, who hast given us power to forgive sins: For thou art good and lover of mankind, and dost despise my every sin whether known or unknown: And vouchsafe me to partake unworthily of thy divine, glorious, precious, life-giving mysteries: Not in hardness, nor in suffering, nor in the addition of sins, but in cleansing, and in putting on, and in anointing with the hope of future life and kingdom: In thee is my strength and help, and in thee I resist the opposing, and destroy many of my transgressions. For thou art God, full of mercy and lover of mankind: Unto thee we send glory, together with thine uncreated and holy essence, now and ever, and to the ages of ages. Amen.

Mercy, O Virgin most pure:
We know, O Lord, because unworthy we partake of Thy precious Body and holy Blood; and I am guilty, and condemn myself, drinking not reasoning about Thy Body and Blood which Thou hast given: but daring on Thy bounty, I come to Thee, saying: Give my flesh, and drink my blood, in me abiding, and I in it. O Lord, have mercy upon me, and do not reveal me as a sinner; but work with me according to Thy will: and let me be made holy by healing, cleansing, enlightenment, preservation, salvation, both of soul and body: in the anguish of all my thoughts, and of evil deeds, and of the works of the devil, in my heart's actions. In boldness and love, wherefore toward Thee, in correction of life, and establishment, in return to virtues and perfection: in the fulfillment of Thy commandments, in the strength of Thy saints generally, in guidance for the life eternal, in the light blessedly pleasing on Thy fearful judgment: not into judgment or condemnation.

Thou dost receive my prayers, O Lady of perverseness, from the foulness of heart, from uncleanness of tongue, from the defilement of soul. Receive my prayer, Theotokos, neither despise my words nor my forms, nor my ignorance. Grant me boldness to speak as Thou wilt, Theotokos. Teach me also what is fitting for me to do and to say.
I have sinned more than a harlot, having been led where Thou abidest, purchasing ointment with which I might boldly anoint Thy feet, O my God, Master and Theotokos. As He did not disdain to receive the ointment from her who came from the heart, though stirring up anger by His words: "Thou hast caused me to bend down, and to kiss Thine feet, and to hold them, and to embrace them with tears, as with a precious ointment." Wipe away my tears with Thy eyes; cleanse me with them: "Leave off my transgressions, and grant me repentance." Weigh my sins, weigh my labors, and see the multitude of them. But also weigh my faith, and my will, and hear my sighs. Hide not from Thee, O my God, Creator, Saviour, a single tear drop or part thereof. Thou seest my confession; in Thy book it is written: "all my transgressions." See my humility, see the labor of my hands, and forgive me all sins, both mine and thine. That I may receive with a clean heart, with a contrite mind, and with a broken spirit, the unclean and holy mysteries, by which I am quickened and saved. For Thou hast said, O Master: "every member of My flesh, and every drop of My blood, abides in this body, in whom also I am." Verily, verily, Thy Word is light and God: by partaking of the divine Mysteries and performing the unspotted works, I am not alone but with Thee, O my God, in a threefold light, enlightening the world. That I may abide not alone, but with Thee, O Saviour, breath of My life, life of My life, joy of My life, comforter of the world.
For this reason I have come to Thee, as Thou hast seen, with tears and a contrite heart, to receive from Thy mercy deliverance from my transgressions, and to partake of Thy unspotted and pure Mysteries. That no one who is not worthy may take them, let the deceiver deceive me with his deceitful words, and lead astray those who perform thy divine works.
For this reason I now come to Thee, knowing that as another, so also I have not sinned against Thee, nor committed any sin today. But we know that neither the greatness of transgressions nor the multitude of sins surpasses Thy great patience and boundless love: but with warm compassion Thou dost cleanse, enlighten, and create partakers by Thy grace, without envy, as to Thy true friends. And Thou dost converse many times with them, even as with other Thy true ones.
This boldness doth work in me, this doth put me to shame, O my God. By Thy rich blessings, rejoicing together, trembling, partaking of the fire, like green grass, and a strange wonder, being anointed not with oil but with ancient fire. Now I offer Thee my confession, my thankful heart, my thankful spirit, soul and body, bowing down to Thee, glorifying Thee, O my God, who art blessed now and forever.
