O Soul, why dost thou enrich thyself with sins; why dost thou do the will of the devil; in what hope dost thou place thy trust; cease from these and turn to God with tears, crying: O Merciful Lord, have mercy on me, the sinner.

Joc. Think, O my soul, how bitter is the hour of death, and the fearful judgment of thy Creator and God: for the angels grievous will take thee, Soul, and into the eternal fire shall they lead thee; therefore before death repent, crying: O Merciful Lord, have mercy on me, the sinner.
