O Died in the depths of darkness, /

O Lord, at every hour and in every moment, on high and on earth, praised and glorified is He Who is God, long-suffering, full of mercy, compassionate to the sinners, loving to those who repent, Who calls all to salvation for the promise of future good. Thou, O Lord, receive our prayer at this present time, and make our life according to Thy commandments: sanctify our souls, cleanse our bodies, correct our thoughts, purify our minds, and deliver us from every kind of trouble and sickness: protect us with Thy holy angels, by their intercession keeping and instructing us, that we may attain in unity of faith, and in understanding the ineffable glory of Thine essence: for Thou art blessed for ever and ever. Amen.
