You came from the Most High, Gabriel of the Divine Mind, bringing joyful tidings to Joachim and Anna and resolving their childless infertility. For this reason, having fun, we cry out to you with faith:
Rejoice, good tidings;
Rejoice, child-bearing joy of those who do not give birth.
Rejoice, barren, God-given all-fertility;
Rejoice, God-pleasing child of the childless.
Rejoice, for you brought an honest birth to God the Forefather;
Rejoice, you have given the fruit of the womb to the Mother of God.
Rejoice, resolving the bonds of childlessness;
Rejoice, you who foretell grace to those who are born.
Rejoice, many fathers have been praised;
Rejoice, kind consolation to mothers.
Rejoice, through whom the human race multiplies;
Rejoice, for by him the inheritance is foreshadowed.
Rejoice, messenger of grace.
