O Lord Jesus Christ, God, pray for me, a sinner, through Thine holy prayer, and for all, save me.
O Lord, from the profanation:
Hear my prayer, O God,
And let not Thy mercy be far from me.
For Thou art holy and righteous;
Thou art the Judge of all the earth.
Grant me compunction of heart,
That I may not walk in delusion.
For I am a stranger in this world,
A creature made by Thee,
Subject to deceit and vanity.
O Lord, have mercy on me!
Thy mercy is exceeding great,
And Thou hast power over all things;
Thou art the King, O Christ,
And Thy Spirit is everywhere.
Let not my soul be cast down,
But raise it up with Thy right hand.
For Thou art good and full of compassion,
And Thy mercy is for those who hope in Thee.
O Lord our God, most merciful and lover of mankind, most holy and resting in holiness, whom the high apostle Peter saw with a vision from the Most High throne, let nothing unclean or impure be thought of those created for food and enjoyment by Thee, and as Thy chosen vessel, Apostle Paul, Thou didst command with pure words: Thou Thyself art most holy, calling upon the fearful and pre-eminent name of Thine, and by the sign and life-giving seal of Thy precious cross, bless and cleanse Thy servant [and me], defiled from all unclean spirits, from every imagination and thought, from every sin and deceit, from every consent and folly, and from every sickness, and from every envy, and from every opposition to Thy sweetness. And now, O unworthy servant of Thine [and me], vouchsafe to serve Thy most holy mysteries. Before this, cleanse my soul and body from all uncleanness, and forgive every sin, voluntary or involuntary, which I have committed in all the days of my life, by deed, word, and thought, day and night, until now. And grant me here, O fearful hierarchies, to serve Thy most holy mysteries not for judgment or condemnation, but for the forgiveness of sins, and for the coming of Thy eternal age, wherein Thou didst prepare me as a true servant of Thine. Keep me, O all-powerful Lord, from every sin and sorrow, keep me unspotted and without blemish from all contrary diseases: and grant me here to serve Thee in holiness and righteousness until the last day and hour, for Thou art blessed and glorified by Thy Father with Thy holy and life-giving house now and forever. Amen.
Of sin, and by reason thereof lustful imaginings arise in sleep:
If thou judgest sincerely, that is to say, thy brother who hath sinned grievously: from lofty and proud heart, this also is sin. From many days and feasting, this also is fitting: from nature without movement and without thought it flows forth, as also excess: from bodily weakness, and certain sicknesses: from devilish envy; wherefore they are guiltless therefore, but both are called a pit.
Hours of Pascha.
It behooves one to know, since from this Wednesday of the great week of Pascha, even until Thursday, the hours and vespers thus are sung.
In Thee, O Father, and in Thee, O Son, and in The Holy Spirit. Amen. Glory. The Lord Jesus Christ is glorified, for the sake of Thy holy Name, O Mother of God, and for the prayers of our venerable and pure fathers, and all thy saints, have mercy on us. Amen. Jesus Christ is risen from the dead, by death He has trampled death, and to the living He has given life in the tombs. [Three times.]
