O Lord Jesus Christ, God, pray for me, a sinner, through Thine holy prayer, and all Thy saints, save me.

O Thou Who art pure and holy,

Hear my prayer from this defilement.

For I am a stranger in this world,
A creature of vanity, a spectacle to the eyes of God.

My heart is suddenly moved with compunction,
And I cry out to Thee, O Lord:

"Thou art the Life, Thou art the Light,
Thou art the Power and Authority over all things.

I have been deceived by delusion,
And wandered far from Thy merciful embrace.

Grant me repentance, O Lover of Mankind,
That I may find Thee in this fleeting life."

For Thou art the Glory and Righteousness,
The Mercy and Life eternal.

Hear my prayer, O Lord,
That I may be delivered from the loss of Thy presence
And find Thee in Thy Kingdom, where Thou art ever present.

O Lord our God, the only-begotten and lover of mankind, the only holy and resting in holiness, who by the vision revealed to St. Peter the apostle, didst not deem anything unclean or impure among those created for food and enjoyment by Thee, and as Thy chosen vessel through Apostle Paul, didst command with pure precepts: Thou Thyself art Most High, calling upon Thee with the fearful and precious name of Thine, and by the sign and life-giving seal of Thy Holy Spirit, bless and cleanse Thy servant [and every sinner] defiled from all unclean spirits, from all thoughts and imaginations, from all lawlessness and deceit, from all consenters and all vanity, and from all sickness, and from all passions, and from all that is contrary to the sweetness of God. And now, O unworthy servant [and every sinner] of Thine, vouchsafe to serve Thy most holy mysteries by Thy mercy. Cleanse first my soul and body from all uncleanness, and forgive me all transgressions, voluntary and involuntary, which I have committed in all the days of my life, by deed, word, and thought, day and night, even unto this present hour. And grant me now to serve these most terrible heavenly powers, and partake of Thy precious mysteries not for judgment or condemnation, but for the remission of sins, and for the coming age, and the eternal joy which Thou didst prepare as a true servant of Thine. Keep me, O all-powerful Lord, from all sin and sorrow, keep me unspotted and undefiled from all contrary diseases: and grant me now to serve Thee in holiness and righteousness until my last day and hour, for Thou art blessed and glorified, O God our Lord, to Thee be glory with Thy Father and Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

Of sin, and by reason thereof lustful imaginings arise in sleep.

To judge sincerely and to call a brother his own: this is very sinful. For pride and such pride are also sinful. From many days and much eating, it is fitting: from nature without movement and without thought, it flows forth, as do excesses: from the weakness of bodily nature, and some sicknesses: from the devilish envy. Therefore, though they be without sin, yet they are called a sore.

The hours of Pascha.

It behooves one to know, since from this Wednesday of the great week of Pascha, even until Thursday, the hours and evening thus are sung.

In His Name, now and ever, and to the ages of ages. Amen. Glory. The Lord Jesus Christ is in the throne of Thy glory, praying for us with loud prayers and supplications, for the veneration of Thy name, for the venerable and God-bearing fathers and mothers of our fathers, and all the saints, have mercy on us. Amen. Jesus Christ is risen from the dead, by death He has trampled death, and to those in the tombs He has given life. [Three times.]
