Lord God, our only Good and Lover of Mankind, our only True and Ever-resting, who wast seen by the Apostle Peter with unveiled face in the glory of His Highness at the Most High Throne, let nothing unclean or impure be thought of me from things created for food and enjoyment of man, and as Thy chosen vessel, Apostle Paul, having taught all things pure by Thyself: Thou art indeed Most High, calling upon the fearful and pre-eminent name of Thine, and by the sign and life-giving seal of Thy Holy Name, bless and cleanse Thy servant [my] soul and body from every uncleanness, both voluntary and involuntary, which I have committed in all days of my life, by deed, word, and thought, day and night, until now. And make me worthy to serve the pre-eminent mysteries of Thine with fear, and to partake of Thy most holy Mysteries not for judgment or condemnation, but for the remission of sins, and for the coming of Thy glorious Second Advent, and for the life of joy eternal which Thou hast prepared for Thy true servant. Keep me, O All-powerful Lord, from every sin and sorrow, keep me undefiled and unblemished by all contrary diseases, temptations, and sorrows; and make me worthy to serve Thee in holiness and righteousness until my last day and hour: for Thou art blessed and glorified of all, O God our Lord, and unto Thee we send our praise with Thy Father and Holy Spirit, now and ever, and to the ages of ages. If thou judgest sincerely thy brother, who is guilty indeed very much: from lofty and proud heart, this also is sin. From many days and feasting, this also is fitting: as the excess also flows forth: from bodily weakness, and some sicknesses: from devilish envy: therefore they are guiltless, but both are called a pitfall.

It behooves one to know, since from this Wednesday of the great week of Pascha, even until Thursday, the hours and vespers thus are sung.
