Like ancient times in the East there were three great saints, / Basil, powerful in words, / the depth of theology of Gregory and St. John Chrysostom, / so today in the land of the midnight / three new ones the luminaries of faith in the firmament of the church have risen:/ the pillar of faith Mitrofan,/ the word of truth in the face of the king, confessed,/ and the denouncer of the schism, Demetrius,/ with a sharp sword on both sides all intrigues cut it open, / and the vessel full of anointing Tikhon, / with the quietness of his words, calling the sinner to repentance. / O great three saints of the Russian land, / pray to Christ God, Him Let us quickly, // save our souls.
