My Most Blessed Queen, my Hope to the Mother of God, refuge of the orphaned and strange to the Representative, to the sorrowing to Joy, to the offended to the Patroness! See my misfortune, see my sorrow: help me as I am weak, guide me as I am strange. Let me resolve my offense as if it were my will: for I have no other help except You, no other Representative, no Good Comforter, except You, O Mother of God, for preserve me and cover me forever and ever.
Prayer before the icon of the Most Holy Theotokos of Lyadan, which is in the Lyadan Annunciation Monastery, Minsk diocese
To whom shall I cry, Lady? To whom shall I resort in my sorrow, if not to You, Queen of Heaven? Who will accept my cry and sighing if not You, Most Immaculate, the Hope of Christians and Refuge? Who will protect You more in adversity? Hear my groaning, and incline Your ear to me, the Lady Mother of my God, and do not despise me who requires Your help, and do not reject me, a sinner. Enlighten and teach me, O Queen of Heaven: do not depart from me Thy servant, O Lady, for my grumbling, but be my Intercessor Mother. I entrust myself to Your merciful protection: lead me, a sinner, to a quiet and serene life, so that I may weep for my sins. To whom shall I resort when I am guilty, if not to You, the hope and refuge of sinners, I am inspired by the hope of Your ineffable mercy and Your bounty; About the Lady Queen of Heaven! You are my hope and refuge, protection and intercession and help. To my most gracious and speedy Intercessor: cover my sins with Your intercession, protect me from enemies visible and invisible: soften the hearts of evil people who rebel against me. O Mother of the Lord my Creator!
You are the root of virginity and the unfading color of purity. O Mother of God! Give me help to those who are weak with carnal passions and sick at heart, for one thing is Yours and with You the imam of Your Son and our God intercession: and by Your wonderful intercession may I be delivered from all troubles and misfortunes, O Most Immaculate and Glorious Mother of God Mary. Likewise, with hope I say and cry out: Rejoice, O Blessed One: Rejoice, O O Joyful One: Rejoice, O Most Blessed One, the Lord is with Thee.
Be aware that in some churches this prayer, or the so-called hymn to the Most Holy Theotokos, is sung in voice 5.
Prayer before the miraculous icon of the Most Holy Theotokos of Podolsk, also in the city of Zhitomir
O All-Merciful God, merciful Mother, Most Blessed Lady, Ever-Virgin Mother of God! Hear our groaning and cry and listen to the voice of our prayer. Extend a helping hand to us through Your almighty intercession, so that we may not perish with our iniquities, but may come to repentance in good time. Weigh our weakness and our sorrow, which comes to us from passions and demons. Deliver us from the attacks of demons and from the slander of evil people: for by You the demons are trampled underfoot, and by You they are put to shame. Fulfill our petitions offered to You for good: no one, who flows to You, leaves in shame. Pray to Thy Son and God that He may be merciful to our iniquities and may He not enter into judgment with His servants, for every living person will not be justified before Him. We know that Your motherly prayer can do a lot for the mercy of the Lord, and everything is possible for You from Him. Heal the wounds of our bodies, defiled by sins, and cleanse our souls, darkened by passions. Direct our minds on the right path and confirm our will to do good deeds and keep the commandments of Your Son, so that His mercy will never depart from us.
Moreover, O All-Blessed Lady, cover, protect and save all the orphans and helpless who fall before Your miraculous image, and all of us this day of autumn with Your all-powerful protection. But in the rest of our lives, do not deprive us of Your mercy and many goodness, and give us everlasting hope without shame in our earthly life and after our repose, and with all silent lips and a pure heart, with the disembodied angelic voices and with all the saints, we glorify, praise, sing and magnify Thee now and ever and unto the ages of ages.
