Glory to the all-powerful and all-venerable archbishop, great miracle-worker, saint of Christ, O Nicholas, man of God and faithful servant, desired husband, chosen vessel, strong pillar of the Church, light-bearer, most radiant star illuminating and enlightening all the universe! Thou art the first-born, as a flower that blossoms in the courts of the Lord: living in the world, thou wast covered with the glory of the world, and from it floweth forth the grace of God; by thy going forth, O glorious father, the sea was made to stand still, when many wonders of thine power went forth into the city of Bar, praising thee throughout its length from east to west!

O wonderful and marvellous miracle-worker, swift helper, warm protector, good shepherd, saving the wordly flock from all miseries! We glorify Thee and we magnify Thee, for Thou art the hope of all Christians, fount of wonders, defender of the faithful, wise teacher, feeder of the hungry, comforter of those who weep, provider for the naked, physician to the sick, pilot in peril, liberator of captives, sustainer of widows and orphans, guardian of the whole body, instructor of the young, guide of the penitents, worker of peace, rich in alms. Hear us, suppliants praying to Thee and fleeing under Thy roof; for by Thy intercession with the Most High God on our behalf, Thou dost bring forth all good things for the salvation of souls and bodies: preserve this monastery [and this church] and all the city, and all the land of Christians, and all those living in it, from every kind of helplessness through Thy merciful prayers. For we know that many are the benefits of prayer, swiftly bringing about good; therefore, with the blessing of the two holy myrrh-flowing days, as a mediator before all-merciful God, and as Thy own, O glorious father, warm intercessor and protector, we humbly beseech Thee: keep us, O gracious husband, that we may not perish through our unrighteousness; deliver us from every evil thing and every opposing thing, direct us in peace, and strengthen our heart in the right faith by Thy intercession and prayer, neither by wounds nor by chastisement nor by death, nor by any anger of our Creator. But let us live a peaceful life, and may we be worthy to see the good things on earth, praising Father and Son and Holy Spirit, the One glorified and worshipped in unity for ever and ever. Amen.

O all-holy Nicholas, ever-merciful Lord, warm our protector and in every tribulation a swift helper! Help me, the sinful and wearied one, in this present life; pray to the Lord God that He grant me forgiveness of all my sins, both from my youth until now, in all my life, by deed, word, thought, and all my feelings: and at the departure of my soul, help me with thy intercession. Pray to the Lord God for all creation, that it may deliver me from the winds of temptation and eternal suffering: so that I always glorify the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

All-holy Father Nicholas, shepherd and teacher of all, by faith coming to thy intercession and with warm prayer invoking thee! Swiftly draw near and deliver the Lord's flock from wolves destroying it: and every land of Christians guard and preserve with thy constant prayers from worldly contention, fear, invasion of strangers and mutual strife, from famine, flood, fire, sword and sudden death. And as thou didst forgive three men sitting in prison and delivered them from the anger of the king and the stroke of the sword: so also forgive me, O my soul, by word and deed in the darkness of sins existing, and deliver me from the wrath of God and eternal punishment: that through thy intercession and help, with thy own mercy and grace, the peace of God may be given to me to live in this present age, and deliver me from the anguish of standing, worthy to receive the right hand with all saints for ever and ever. Amen.
