O all-powerful and all-holy Archbishop, great miracle-worker, saint of Christ, O Nicholas, man of God and faithful servant, desired husband, chosen vessel, strong pillar of the Church, light-bearer, most radiant star shining and enlightening all the universe! Thou art the first-born, as a flower that blossoms in the courts of Thy Lord: alive in the world, Thou wast covered with myrrh, and didst pour forth the myrrh-bearing grace of God: by Thy holy journeying, O glorious Father, the sea was stayed, when many wonders of Thine power were displayed in the city of Bar, praising Thee from east to west. O surpassingly wonderful and marvellous miracle-worker, swift helper, warm protector, good shepherd, saving the word-faithful from all calamities! We glorify Thee and we magnify Thee, for Thou art the hope of all Christians, fount of miracles, defender of the faithful, wise teacher, almighty sustainer, weeping with joy, giving to the naked, healing the sick, guiding the perishing by Thy Spirit, freeing the captives, feeding the widows and orphans, keeping the whole-hearted, teaching the young, instructing the penitents, comforting the troubled, enriching the poor and rich. Hear us, O intercessor, who pray to Thee and flee under the shelter of Thy roof; for through Thy prayers, most glorious Father, before all-merciful God, we beseech Thee with humble supplication. For we know that prayer is mighty, hastening towards good: therefore, O most mighty, by the blessing of two holy myrrhings, as a mediator before all-merciful God and Thine, O most glorious Father, warm in Thy intercession and protection, we humbly approach Thee. Keep us, O good shepherd, from all enemies, destruction, fear, plague, famine, fire, sword, invasions of our own people, and in all our troubles and sorrows, give us Thy hand for help, and open the doors of mercy to us: for we are unworthy to behold the height of heavenly glory, because of the multitude of our sins: bound by the chains of sin, neither have we created nor preserved ourselves from His commandments. Therefore, with bowed heads and humble hearts, we bow before our Creator, and beseech Thy merciful intercession: help us, O good husbandman, that we may not perish through our own unrighteousness; deliver us from all evil and from every thing opposing us, guide us, strengthen our heart in the right faith by Thy intercession and mediation, neither by wounds nor by chastisement, nor by death, nor by any wrath of His Who created us, but let us live peaceably here on earth, and may we be worthy to see the good things on the land of the living, praising Father and Son and Holy Spirit, One in Trinity, now and ever, for ever and ever. Amen.

O all-holy Nicholas, ever-merciful Lord, warm our protector and in every tribulation a swift helper! Help me, the sinful and wearied one, in this present life; pray to the Lord God that He grant me forgiveness of all my sins, both from my youth until now, in all my life, by deed, word, thought, and all my feelings: and at the departure of my soul, help me with thy intercession. Pray to the Lord God for all creation, that it may deliver me from aerial torment and eternal suffering; that I may always glorify the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.

Most merciful Father Nicholas, shepherd and teacher of all, to whom with faith we come for thy intercession, and by fervent prayer invoke thee! Swiftly draw near and deliver the flock of Christ from wolves that destroy: and guard and preserve every land of Christians from worldly contention, fear, invasion of foreigners and mutual strife, from famine, flood, fire, sword and sudden death. Even as thou didst forgive three men sitting in prison, and delivered them from the anger of the king and the stroke of the sword: so also forgive me, O Soul, by word and deed in the darkness of my sins, and deliver me from the wrath of God and eternal punishment: that through thy prayers and help, with thy mercy and grace, the peace of Christ may be given to me to live in this present age, and deliver me from the torments of hell, and grant me to partake with all saints for ever and ever. Amen.
