Children, what can make our hope of receiving from God the earthly blessings we need in life certain? When will God not stop giving us everything in due time with his generous hand? Then when we thank Him for everything we receive from Him. By gratitude we show God: we feel and appreciate that we receive everything we need from God without any merit of ours, only through the love of our Lord Jesus Christ for us.
But should we ask God only for earthly blessings? - No, in addition to earthly blessings, there are heavenly ones, and we all must take care to become heirs of these heavenly blessings here on earth, so as not to lose the eternal Kingdom of Christ. The Lord Jesus Christ commanded us to care about heavenly blessings more than earthly ones. In the Holy Gospel He told us: seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all this [you need in life] will be added to you (Matthew 6:33). And so that after being satiated with earthly blessings we do not forget about heavenly, eternal blessings, we, while offering gratitude for earthly ones, immediately ask our Savior the Lord Jesus Christ to deign us to still have great mercy - not to deprive Him of the Heavenly Kingdom. This is what we express in the short prayer that Christians are required to say after eating. Cross yourself, children, and say this prayer with me: We thank You, Christ our God, for you have filled us with Your earthly blessings; do not deprive us of Your Heavenly Kingdom.
In this prayer, all the words are clear to you, children, because they have already been encountered in prayers before. What do they mean: Tya, yako, ecu?
Should we thank God after eating? What do we express to God with our gratitude? Shouldn't we ask God for heavenly blessings? What did Jesus Christ tell us to care about above all? How to read the prayer
after eating? What do we express to God in it? What do we thank for and what do we ask of God? What words in this prayer are not used colloquially? In which prayer was the word ecu and what did it mean there? Here the ecu doesn't really matter.
