Virmos:
By life alone we are saved,
And by death we perish:
For life is from Thee, O Lord,
And death came through our fathers.
Through Thee, O Life, we have life;
In Thee, O Death, we die.
Thou art the Life that giveth light,
And death is but a shadow of Thy might.
By Thee, O Life, we are made whole;
From Thee, O Death, cometh all our woe.
Thou art the Light that driveth out the night,
And death is but a dream in Thine own sight.
By life alone we are saved,
And by death we perish:
For life is from Thee, O Lord,
And death came through our fathers.

By Thy Blood, O Lord, having beheld the fading of Thy Body, I have been filled with a great trembling and awe at Thy much-endured patience, O Hierarch; calling out: Blessed are all the works of the Lord.
Thou, O my deathly Judge, hast judged me more mercifully, rising to immortality by Thy own Resurrection. Therefore, rejoicing with thanksgiving, Thy chosen people glorify Thee, calling out to Thee: Thou hast become the true sacrifice, death being overcome.

The Theotokos:
Thou, O Virgin Mother, inseparably united with the Word, in Thy womb, by the power of God, didst conceive without seed and didst bear the Unborn: therefore hast Thou saved us all, O our Savior.

Irimos:
O Lord, our God, Thou art the Life, and all men live by Thee; Thou art the Light, and all men see in Thee; Thou art the Truth, and all men know Thee. Thou art the Good, and all men are good through Thee. But we, O Lord, have sinned against Thee, and our sins are many and grievous. We have strayed from Thy commandments, and we have fallen into delusion and deceit. Therefore, we come before Thee with compunction of heart, confessing our transgressions and praying for Thy mercy.
For Thou art the God of Mercy, and Thou dost forgive all who call upon Thee in faith. Thou hast said: "Let him that is athirst come unto Me, and drink; he that believeth on Me, as the Scripture saith, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water." O Lord, our God, grant us to partake of this life-giving water, that we may be cleansed from all uncleanness and made pure in Thee.
And let not our prayers be in vain, but let them avail for the salvation of our souls. For Thou art the Saviour of the world, and unto Thee do we lift up our hearts and hands in prayer, saying: "Have mercy on us, O Lord, have mercy on us."
For Thou art the Glory of Thy creation, and all things are made by Thee and for Thee. Thou art the Righteous One, and all men shall be judged according to Thy righteousness. Therefore, we pray Thee, O Lord, to receive our supplications and grant us the gift of Thy Holy Spirit, that we may walk in the light of Thy truth and love Thee with all our hearts.
Amen.
O thou of gold, heedless of thy youth's need, beholding the unchanging and living image of God, midst the flames I sang: let all creation accomplish what is made manifest, and ever exalt it in all ages.
Thou wast seen nailed upon the cross, O Rich in spirit, by Thy will laid to rest: and on the third day Thou didst rise again, and didst save all men loving mankind, singing with faith: that all the created things may sing Thee, O Lord, and exalt Thee for ever.
To deliver from corruption, Thou hast descended into the lower parts of the earth with the Word of God, Whom Thou didst create, by Thy divine power, and without corruption didst fashion, making a partaker of Thine ever-present glory, that all creation might praise Thee, calling upon Thee, and exalt Jesus Christ for ages.

Therefore, let us with all our heart sing a hymn to Him who is life and has overcome death, who is the Light and hath enlightened every man, who is the Truth and hath made known to us the way of life eternal. Amen.
Thou wast seen upon the earth by thee, and didst live with men, O Incorruptible in goodness and mighty, to whom all faithful verily cry: Let the whole creation sing to Thee, and exalt Thee for ever.
Verily, when I preach the Gospel, we glorify the Theotokos: for thou alone didst give birth to the Incarnate Word, with whom we all hymn the Father and the Spirit: let all creation sing thee, and exalt thee for evermore.
