Virmos:
By life alone we are saved,
And by death we perish:
For life is from Thee, O Lord,
And death we bring upon ourselves.
Through Thy death, O Master,
We were delivered from the curse of death;
In celebrating Thy mystery,
Let us ever offer thanks to Thee.
O Thou Who bringest forth all from the non-existent by Thy Word and by Thy power, O Lord Most High, in Thine love establish me.
By Thy holy Passion the impious is shamed, for he hath brought upon himself destruction; but Thou exaltedst the humble with Thy risen Horn, O Christ.
With holy fear we proclaim this word, as water covered the sea with its love: for He arose from the grave, and by His resurrection He opened the light.
The Theotokos:
O glorious be thy words, O city of the ever-blessed Theotokos: by thee, Lady, the very God of earth hath been made man.

Irmos: Luke hath smitten the enemy.
O sanctified one, Princes of the Ildilils, thou hast been cleansed from impurities: for Jesus Christ, the Ever-Blessed, stretched forth His hand upon thee.
Let all who verily believe receive the holy tomb: for in thee, O Lord our God, didst Thou truly bury and raise up Jesus Christ.

This hymn of the same.
Staff of Jesse, pruned and blossoming twice, bearing fruit, saith to us: "Behold, the Lord!"
By the divine participation, Thou hast made earthly flesh of our two natures, O Lord, Thou who wast pleased to receive: Thou art the Lord.
