On the hymns of praise, psalms are sung, voice:
Every breath and every creature doth glorify the Lord,
for by His death He hath abolished death,
that He might show unto men Thy resurrection, O Only-begotten,
since Thou art the One Lover of mankind.
Let the Jews say how warriors have slain those keeping watch for the King; why then doth not a stone preserve life to stones? Either let them bury the dead, or let them bow down to him who is risen, saying with us: Glory to the multitude of thy mercies, O Saviour, glory to thee.
Let the people rejoice and be glad, the angel sitting on the stone of the tomb, he said to us: Jesus Christ is risen from the dead, save the world, and fulfill all our joy: let the people rejoice and be glad.
Angel of joy, who rejoiced before thy conception by the Lord, bringeth thee more glorious gifts: an angel also hath brought a stone famous of thy tomb, sealing thy resurrection: sorrowful is the place of weeping, but joyful are the images thereof declaring: this is the place of death, preaching to us the life-giver; therefore we cry to thee: O Giver of good things, to thee be glory in the heavens.
Mourning with tears at thy grave, O Myrrh-bearer, ye have fulfilled their lips with joy, when they said: Arise, O Lord.
Let the tongues and peoples of the Church of our God praise Him, for His will's sake who endured suffering and was in the depths of hell three days: and let them bow down to Him, risen from the dead, by whom Thou hast enlightened all the ends of the world.
Hanged and buried was Thou, O Jesus Christ, as Thou didst will; Thou hast trampled down death by death, and hast risen in glory, for God and Master, granting the world life eternal and lifting up our souls.
Verily, truly, without law, sealing the stone, greater wonders hast Thou granted us! To them hast Thou given understanding to keep watch, today passing through the grave, and saidst: Speak ye to us as if sleeping, lo, the disciples have come, and stolen Him away. And who would steal a dead man, much more one naked; Himself arose of His own authority, leaving in the grave the thief of His body: Come, see, O Jews, how not broken are the seals, death overcome, and giving to the human race eternal life, and bidding us pray.
