On the hymns of praise, psalms are sung, Gloria:
Every breath and every creature, let them glorify the Lord,
for by thy death thou hast destroyed death,
and to those who believe thou hast shown the resurrection of thee,
thou alone lover of mankind.
Let the Jews say how warriors have slain those keeping watch over the King; for why should a stone preserve life of stones; either let them bury the dead, or let them bow to him who rose again, saying with us: Glory be to the multitude of thy mercies, O Saviour, glory to thee.
Let the people rejoice and be glad, the angel sitting upon the stone of the tomb, he saith to us: Jesus Christ is risen from the dead, He hath redeemed the world, and fulfilled all the desires of salvation: let the people rejoice and be glad.
Angel of joy, who rejoiced before thy conception by the Lord, bringeth thee more glorious gifts: an angel also hath sealed with stones the glory of thy tomb in thy resurrection: sorrowful place for the Angel doth become gladness foretelling: this very place of death preacheth to us the life-giver, wherefore we cry to thee: O Giver of good things, to Thee be glory everywhere.
Mourning with tears at thy grave, O Lady, ye have fulfilled their mouths with joy, when they said: Arise, O Lord.
Let the tongues and peoples of the Theotokos our God praise Him, for His will's sake who endured suffering and was in the depths of hell three days: and let them bow down to Him, risen from the dead, by whom Thou hast enlightened all the ends of the world.
Hanged and buried wast Thou, O Jesus Christ, as Thou didst will; thou didst trample down death by death, and didst rise again in glory, for God and Master, granting the world life eternal and to bestow it.
Verily, truly, those who are lawless and seal the stone, have wrought greater wonders for us! To them is given to keep watch over reason, today passing through the grave, and they said: Say ye, since we were sleeping, lo, the disciples came, and stole him away. And who would steal a dead man, much more one naked; Himself rose of His own authority as God, leaving in the grave both the sealers and the burial thereof: Come, see, O Jews, how not broken is the seal, death overcome, and giving to the human race endless life, and let great mercy prevail.
