Lord, hear my prayer, implant my supplication in the truth of Thy will, hear me in the righteousness of Thy will: enter not into judgment with Thy servant, for none can be justified before Thee. For He hath driven away my soul; it is humbled and laid low in the dust of my life: Thou hast set me down in darkness, as one dead for ages.
And within me is my spirit, my heart is troubled. I have remembered days of old, instructed myself in all Thy works, learned by the hand of Thine creation. I have lifted up my hands to Thee; my soul is like a land without water before Thee. Quickly hear me, Lord; let not my breath depart: do not hide Thy face from me, lest I be like those descending into a pit.
Hear me in the morning, O Lord, according to Thy mercy, for upon Thee have I relied. Tell me, O Lord, where is my way, whither shall I go, for unto Thee have I taken my soul. Change me from my enemies, O Lord, to whom I have fled; instruct me to do Thy will, for Thou art my God.

O Lord, have mercy on me, according to the great mercy of Thine and the multitude of Thy mercies, cleanse my iniquity. More than that, wash away from me my iniquity, and from my sin cleanse me. For I know mine iniquity, and my sin is before me openly. I alone have sinned against Thee, and I have wrought deceit before Thee, that Thou mightest be justified in Thy words, and overcome when Thou judgest Me. O my Sorrowful Theotokos, cleanse my foulness by Thy holy purity, guardian of mine, and through thy intercessions may I partake of Thy glory, being made a partaker thereof.

Uncompunction standeth before me from them that have departed from me, crying: But deliver me from them quickly; for with Thee only have I fled.

Remember, O Man of Sorrows, how thou wast enslaved for the sake of sins by lies, calumnies, robbery, weakness, bitter sorrows, and wicked deeds; O sinful soul, was it not so?

O man, being made sorrowful, pray to God, having in mind thy sins, falling down before the Creator, weeping and crying out, thus by mercy, He will grant thee to know His will.

Do not trust, O Soul of mine, in bodily health and in fleeting beauty: for thou seest how strong and young die, but cry: have mercy on me, O Jesus Christ, unworthy as I am.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread: and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors: and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.

Lord, have mercy on us, for in thee we have trusted: let not thy wrath come upon us, nor count our transgressions against us; but look upon us now with a heart of compassion, and deliver us from our enemies: for thou art God our King, and we are thy people, all our works being by thine hand, and to thee we cry.

O Master Jesus Christ, Thou Who heal'st my passions by Thy own sufferings and curest me with Thy names, grant me, O many times fallen into sin, tears of compunction, that may dissolve the body from the corruption of Thy life-giving Body; and let Thine precious Blood give joy to my soul, from the bitterness which my foe hath poured upon me: raise up mine heart to Thee, which is bowed down, and lift me out of the pit of destruction, for I have no repentance, no compunction, no tears that can lift up children to their inheritance. I darkened myself in worldly passions, could not look to Thee in sickness, nor was I warmed by Thy tears of love. But O Master, Thou Who art the Treasure-house of blessings, grant me complete repentance and a loving heart in seeking Thine: grant me Thy grace, and renew within me the eyes of Thy image.
I left Thee, but did not leave Me; go forth for my seeking: raise me to thy pasture, and join me with the chosen flock of Thy fold: bring me up with them from the weakness of Thy divine mysteries, by the most pure prayers of Thine Mother, and all the hymns of Thee. Amen.

Hearken, all-holy Theotokos, who dost receive the most pure gifts of Thy handmaid, and lay them before Thee alone, from us unworthy servants, from all peoples chosen, from all heavenly and earthly creatures exalted above all. For Thou hast given us strength with Thee, and by Thee we have known the glory of God, and have partaken of His holy body and precious blood. Therefore blessed art Thou in the generations of women, O most blessed among the Cherubim and Seraphim, shining more brightly than they. And now, O all-praised Theotokos, do not cease to pray for us Thy unworthy servants, that we may be delivered from every counsel of the crafty one and from every opposition, and preserved unharmed from every evil device of the devil. But even unto the end, keep us unsullied by thy prayers: for through Thy intercession and help, we beseech Thee to offer glory, praise, thanksgiving, and adoration in unity with the Holy Trinity, now and ever, and to all ages. O Holy Theotokos, to thee I flee in my distress; Guardian of mine soul, given to me for the keeping of body and spirit, sinful as they are, by the holy Baptism. For by my own sloth and my own tongue, I have provoked thy precious light, and by all my studious deeds: lies, slanders, envy, accusations, contempt, disobedience, hatred of brethren, gluttony, avarice, drunkenness, much speaking, evil thoughts, craftiness, pride, and wantonness; I have inflamed my self-will in every carnal desire. For even as the unreasoning beast does not do according to its own will! How then canst thou look upon me or come nigh unto me as a loathsome dog? With thine eyes, O Holy Theotokos, look upon me, entwining me with thy holy prayers in my foul deeds; that I may be able to ask for forgiveness through the bitter and evil works of mine, in which I fall every day and night, at all times; but I pray thee, Guardian of mine soul, given to me by God, have mercy on this sinful and unworthy servant [and disciple], be my helper and intercessor against my adversary, with thy holy prayers and the consecration of thine Body, make me partake in the Mystery of Thy Divine Mysteries now and ever and unto ages of ages.
