Lord, hear my prayer, and incline thine ear to the voice of my supplication in truth: hear me in thy righteousness; enter not into judgment with thy servant, for no one living shall be justified before thee.
For he hath driven away my soul, and it is humbled in the dust of my life. He hath set me in darkness as among the dead: therefore my spirit fainteth within me, my heart is troubled.
I have remembered the days of old; I have meditated on thy works; I have pondered on the handiwork of thine own hands.
My soul hath fainted away like a shadow from thee. Speedily, Lord, hear my prayer: let not the breath of my face be hidden from me, lest I fall into the pit.

O Lord, have mercy on me, according to the great mercy of Thine and the multitude of Thy mercies, cleanse my transgression. More than that, wash away from me the unrighteousness of mine, and from sin of mine purify me. For I know my transgression, and iniquity is before me, openly. I have sinned against Thee, and have done craftily before Thee, that Thou mightest be justified in Thy words, and overcome when Thou judgest Me. Lo, in my unrighteousness was I conceived, and in sin my mother bore me. Lo, Thou hast loved truth, O God, the hidden and secret wisdom of Thine didst reveal to me. With divine love I cry to thee, guardian of my soul, all-holy angel: cover me and keep me from the snare of the crafty always, and guide me unto life, enlightening and illuminating, and strengthening me.

Thee, O Theotokos, we pray a warm and impregnable wall, a fountain of mercy, a refuge for the world; incline Thou to us: O Lady, precede us, and from tribulations deliver us, ever interceding for us.

Wide is the way that leads to destruction and pleasure it brings, but bitter will be its end in the last day, when the soul from the body shall be parted: beware of these, man, for the sake of the Theotokos.

Why hast thou forgotten God; for hire thou holdest back the pledge; thy brother thou lovest not; sin and pride thou drivest forth; O soul of mine, leave off this, and repent for the Theotokos' sake.

Wretched man, how long wilt thou be filled with the vanity of sin, gathering thy wealth; soon shalt thou perish as dust and ashes: but rather seek the Kingdom of God.

Grant me, O Theotokos, Thy mercy, and strengthen me in good deeds, and keep me that the shameless death may not seize me unprepared, and lead me, O King, to the vision of Thine essence.

Remember, O Merciful Man, how thou wast enslaved for the sake of sins by lies, calumnies, robbery, weakness, bitter sorrows, and wicked deeds; O sinful soul, was it not thy will?

Blessed Thee, O Virgin Theotokos, Hope of the faithful, Thou who hast cast down the proud in their haughtiness, and singing joyfully, doth glorify Thee.

Life on earth I lived in vain, and my soul I delivered into darkness: now I beseech Thee, O Merciful Master: deliver me from the bondage of this enemy, and give me understanding to do Thy will.

He who doth such things as I; even as the swine lieth in the mire, so also do I serve sin: but Thou, O Lord, stir me up from this filth, and give me a heart to keep Thy commandments.

O man, being made sorrowful, approach to God, having recalled thy sins, falling down before the Creator, weeping and crying out, thus by mercy, He shall grant thee to know His will.

O Soul/Spirit of the All-Holy Theotokos, having drawn near to the wall of thy sanctuary, we rejoice in the perfect salvation of thy soul, and in the vastness of our sorrows, O Maiden, and in thy illumination: now save us from passions and calamities.

O Soul/Spirit of the Virgin Mother, in love we approach Thy blood, O Theotokos, and by Thy healing power, Thou dost heal our bodily weaknesses and soulful sorrows. Through Thee, O Christ-bearer, save us, having given birth to the Saviour.

Now to you, angels, archangels, and all heavenly powers standing in the presence of the Saviour, I beseech you, pray to the Creator of yours, that He may deliver my soul from eternal torments.

O Master Jesus Christ, Thou who dost heal my passions with Thy own sufferings and cure me with Thy names, grant me, O many times fallen into sin, tears of compunction, that they may dissolve the body from the corruption of the life-giving body of Thine; and let my soul be refreshed by Thy precious blood, which I have resisted in bitterness: raise up mine heart to Thee, which is bowed down, and lift me out of the pit of destruction, for I have no repentance, no compunction, no tears of the Comforter that would lift up children to their inheritance. I darkened my soul with worldly passions, could not look to Thee in sickness, nor be warmed by Thy tears of love. But O Master, Thou who art the treasure-house of goodness, grant me complete repentance and a loving heart seeking Thine: grant me Thy grace, and renew in me the eyes of Thy image.
I left Thee, but Thou didst not leave me; go forth to my seeking: raise me up for Thy pasture, and join me with the chosen flock of Thy fold: educate me among them from the weakness of Thy divine mysteries, by thy most pure prayers and all Thy saints. Amen.

Hearken, all-holy Theotokos, pre-emptress, Lady of the Most High, accept these gifts from Thy unworthy servants, from all chosen peoples and from every heavenly and earthly creature. For Thou hast given us strength with Thee, and by Thee we have known the light of Thy Son, and have partaken of His holy body and precious blood. Therefore blessed art thou in the generations of women, O most bright among the Cherubim and Seraphim, being more glorious than them. And now, O all-praised Theotokos, do not cease to pray for us Thy unworthy servants, that we may be delivered from every counsel of the deceitful and from every adversity, and preserved unharmed from every evil temptation by the devil. O Holy Theotokos, to thee I cry, coming with my supplications, O Guardian of mine, given unto me for the keeping of soul and body in sin from the holy Baptism. For by my own sloth and my own tongue, accustomed to anger, I have provoked thy precious light: lying, slanders, envy, accusations, contempt, disobedience, hatred of brother, and forgetfulness; greediness, love of money, fornication, pride, gluttony, drunkenness, much speaking, vain thoughts, crafty, proud custom, and wantonness, I have inflamed my self-will in every carnal desire. For from the will of mine, which even a senseless beast does not do! As thou art able, O Holy Angel of God, look upon me, or come to me as a filthy dog; with thine eyes, O Holy Theotokos, look upon me, entwining thyself in the filthiness of my deeds; that I may be able to beseech thee for forgiveness through my bitter and vain and crafty actions, in which I fall every day and night, and at every hour; but I pray to thee, O Guardian of mine, Holy One, have mercy on me, a sinful and unworthy servant [and handmaid], be my helper and intercessor against the adversary, by thy holy prayers and the sacrifice of thine Body, make me partake in thy glory now and forever.
