Thou hast fulfilled all good things, O Lord my God, and hast filled my soul with joy and gladness, and hast saved me, as the only One who art most merciful.

Glory: If I have sinned, O Saviour, preserve my soul, before Thee; and though Thou knoweth not: yet dare I on Thy great mercy: turning unto Thee, receive me mercifully, and as a father to a son, and as Thine only-begotten, and O Soul, as the Comforter, and save me.

And now: One of the strongholds, and the warm intercessor, if thou knowest not: yet because of his boldness made holy by thy birth, Lady, assist me thy servant.

O Lord, have mercy, and grant peace:

O Lord Jesus Christ, my God, have mercy on me the sinner, and forgive me, Thy unworthy servant, since I have sinned all the days of my life, even until today, and also whatever a man may sin, being both willing and unwilling in my transgressions.

By deed and word, wherefore with heart and thought, by the inspiration and distraction, I have many of my laziness and negligence. Yea, even in Thy name I pray, yea, even falsely, and I revile with thought, and I have cursed some, and I have accused, and I have grieved, and in vanity.

I have sinned, and I have stolen, and I have committed fornication, and I have lied, and I have spoken secretly: and I have despised him who hath come to me, and I have wronged my brother and grieved him: and those standing before me in prayer with their entreaties, my deceitful adversary was ever passing by.

And I rather took pleasure in foolish laughter, and I rather spoke with reproach, and I rather was vain, and I rather sought glory, and I rather exalted myself, and I rather saw a vain goodness: yet I was not deceived by it. And in my fleshly sleep we did not abide: and we rejoiced in the commandments of God.

O Soul of my Father, I have not kept it, but rather spoken in vain, and also what was deceitful: for all that speaketh thus, I have done, and those things which I now remember: have mercy on me, O Lord, and forgive me all, that I may rest in peace, saying, and blessing Thee, with unbeginning Glory.

Thy Holy Name, O Lord, with Thy Throne and Thy Glory, and Thy Life-giving Temple, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages, Amen.

This sentence hath been written with a pen of blood, and with the dew of lips, when thou didst contend single-handed upon the naked mount.

I was small in my brother's house and young in his domain: the Passover of his household I kept. Thy hand, O Lord, fashioned my flesh, and Thy fingers formed my sinews. Who shall proclaim to the Lord of my soul; Himself He heareth: Himself He sendeth an angel of His own.

And I was taken from the hand of my father, and anointed with the oil of my father's anointing. My brethren were good and great: but they would not have me, the Lord. I went forth into the wilderness among my kinsmen, and was cursed by their arrows. And I, having drawn my sword from him, cut off his head.

And I have taken up a defense from the sons of Iēsous Christ.
