Thou hast fulfilled all good things, O Lord my God, and filled my soul with joy and gladness; save me, for Thou art the Only-Begotten of the Father.

Glory: For though I have sinned, O Theotokos, preserve my soul, before Thee; and though I know not all the things that Thou hast done: yet I dare to hope in Thy great mercy: for receiving me with compassion, as a repentant sinner, Thou dost save me.

And now: One of the strongholds, and the warm intercessor, how is it that thou knowest not: for with boldness of heart they approach him who was born for thee, O Master, help me thy servant, and save me.

O Lord, have mercy, and grant peace:

O Lord Jesus Christ, my God, have mercy on me, a sinful one, and forgive me, Thy unworthy servant, since I have sinned all the days of my life, even until today, and also whatever else a man may sin, both willingly and unwillingly.

By deed and word, wherefore with thought and intent, by contemplation and inattention, I have shown much of my slothfulness and negligence. Yea, even with thy Name I have cried, yea, even falsely; I have blasphemed with thought, I have reproached, I have accused, I have grieved, I have troubled without cause.

I have provoked Thee, O Lord, and I have stolen, and I have committed fornication, and I have lied, and I have spoken secretly: and another hath attained to my place, and I despised him; and I have grieved my brother and made him sorrowful: and they that stood by me in prayer and supplication my crafty adversary assailed on every side.

And I rather took pleasure in foolish laughter, and I rather spoke with reproach, and I rather boasted, and I rather sought vain glory, and I rather exalted myself, and I rather saw a false goodness: yet I was not deceived; and I did not let an unwise thought ensnare me: for in the sweat of my body we labored not in vain. And I kept not the commandments.

Of my spiritual father's breath I have not kept, but rather spoken in vain, and also what is deceitful: for all that speaketh thus I have done, and those things which I now remember: have mercy on me, O Lord, and forgive me all, that I may rest in peace, saying, and blessing Thee, and glorifying Thee with the unbeginning.

Thy Holy Name, O Lord, and Thy Heavenly Throne, and Thy Goodness, and Thy Life-giving Temple, now and forever, and unto the ages of ages, Amen.

This sentence hath been written by the hand, and not by pen, and beyond the number of scribes, when thou wast alone upon the mountain.

I was small in my brother's household and young in his house: the paschal lamb of my father. Thy hand made me an organ, and Thy fingers formed the tabor. Who shall proclaim to the Lord of my heart? Himself, Himself Heareth: Himself hath sent His own angel.

And I was taken from the hand of my father, and anointed with the oil of my father's anointing. My brethren were good and great: but they would not have me, the Lord. I went forth into the wilderness among my kinsmen, and was cursed by them. As for me, having drawn out the sword from him, I cut off his head.

And I have taken up a defense from the sons of Levi.
