Yirmós: The lustral gold, wise children, did not serve for the body, and they themselves went into the flame, and their gods abandoned them, midst the flames crying out, and an angel appeared: Harkening, ye have heard your own prayers.

Pure heart create in me, O God, and renew my spirit within my womb. Fount of the good, partake of Thy holy mysteries today, that I may be light, life, and passionless, and for repose and increase of virtue most fervently intercede, alone nearest, as I glorify Thee.

Do not forsake me from Thy face, and let Thy saintly age never depart from me. That I may be delivered from passions, enemies, and all sorrows, with fear and love, with gladness, loving-kindness, now approach to Thy holy and heavenly mysteries, and dare to pray Thee: Blessed art Thou, O God, our Father.

Having ceased, save us. Save the Mother of God, more glorious than the cherubim, most pure, now Thy servant praying unclean: for him who wishes today to approach the precious mysteries, cleanse all from sin of body and spirit.
