The Only Begotten Son and Word of God, who deigned to be incarnate and endure death for our salvation, now, with Your most pure flesh, sit in heaven on the throne with the Father and rule the whole world in righteousness! Do not forget us, who are in the depths and tempted by many misfortunes and sorrows, even though we are very unclean and unworthy of us, but we believe in You as our Savior and Lord, and we know no other intercessor and hope of salvation. Grant, O All-merciful Redeemer, the memory of Your most pure and terrible passions, how You even descended to hell with Your most pure soul, so that you may free us from the power and torment of hell. Let us put all this together in our hearts, so that we may be guarded from our passions and sins, and let us love truth and virtue, which are most pleasant to You, even if we have any gift to You. Weigh, O All-Merciful One, since the weakness of our spirit and flesh is great, but our enemy is strong and cunning, who walks like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour: do not leave us with Your all-powerful help, and be with us always, protecting and covering, instructing and strengthening, delighting and cheering our spirit.
We, throwing ourselves into the bosom of Thy love and mercy, commit our whole life, temporary and eternal, to You, our Master, Redeemer and Lord, begging from the depths of our souls, yes, through our destinies, make it possible for us to pass through the comfortably gloomy life of this earthly vale and reach Thy god-red palace, which Thou hast promised prepare for all those who believe in Your name and for those who follow Your divine steps.
