Lord, You said with Your most pure lips: An evil man brings forth evil from the evil treasures of his heart (Matthew 12:35). A pure and dispassionate eye dispassionately looks at the deeds of others, and not with deceit. A pure eye cannot see evil (Hab. 1:13). How can I, the damned one, being in the same sin and committing even more serious sins, dare to raise my head to see the mistakes of others and condemn them? Grant me to see my sins and not to wound my brother with condemnation, but to apply a spiritual plaster to my own wounds.
