On this great and festive day, the day of your glorification on earth, to our holy father Joasaph, glory and great joy to our land, accept this humble and warm prayer of ours. Today we see the fulfillment of the word of the Lord: I will glorify those who glorify Me. Behold, during the days of your earthly life, you sought nothing but to fulfill the will of God and guide the children of your flock for salvation, and for this reason you endured much labor, sorrow, illness and travel. After your death, the merciful Lord glorified you, bestowing incorruptibility and healing powers on your body: you also poured out currents of healing to those who prayed, and you appeared many times to those who called you to the sick and grieving, giving consolation and quick healing. For this reason, as the chosen one of Divine grace leading you, the Church of Christ today has been vouchsafed to glorify you as the new wonderworker of our land.

Bless and have mercy, the bishop of the True God, our most pious Sovereign, Emperor Nikolai Alexandrovich: his wife, the most pious Empress Empress Alexandra Feodorovna: his mother, the most pious Empress Empress Maria Feodorovna: his heir, the blessed sovereign Tsarevich and Grand Duke Alexy Nikolaevich, and the entire reigning house. Grant us consolation of heart, consolation and peace and everlasting joy in the Lord. In the days of their lives, preserve the Russian power in peace, strengthen the Tsar’s servants in the truth, grant unshakable courage to the warriors, and preserve all people without sorrow. Eliminate all sedition, and destroy the advice of seditious people, especially bring those same ones to repentance. Give wisdom, purity and righteous living to the shepherds and bishops, just as you yourself were adorned with these. Give good upbringing to infants, teach young ones, and grant health to the sick and grieving. Give patience and hope to those who labor, give humility to the rich and grant mercy to your neighbors.

Grant us all everlasting joy in the Lord, and let us all please you with gratitude, saying this: We magnify you, O holy Father Joasaph, and we honor your holy memory, for you pray for us to Christ our God.
