Most merciful and all-powerful Lord, my God, who art in heaven, for many reasons hast Thou descended and taken flesh, that Thou mightest save all. Again, save me by Thy grace, I beseech Thee: for if Thou hast saved me from deeds, there is no grace or gift but only a greater debt. Thou art full of mercy and ineffable in power! For believing in Thee, Thou didst say to Me, O my God, “Thou shalt live, and thou shalt not see death forever.” And though faith alone sufficeth, yet because of Thee I believe and am saved: from the beginning of sin. Faith together with deeds shall be accounted for me, O my God; for Thou wilt not find one deed from those who are justified by Thyself. But let this faith of mine prevail over all, that it may declare, justify, and show me a partaker of Thine eternal glory. Let not Satan deceive me, and boast, saying, “I have wrested thee away from the hand and gifts of Thee.” But if He wills, save me; if He willeth not, let Thy saving grace be before me quickly, quickly: for Thou art my God from the womb of My mother. Grant that I may love Thee now as I sometimes loved that very sin, and again serve Thee without sloth, as I formerly served the deceitful one. More than this will I serve Thee now and Thy God, Jesus Christ, and Thy Theotokos, in all days of my life, now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.

Mercy, O Guardian of the life of mankind, angel:

Venerable Angel, stand before the sanctification of my soul and my life in its passions, do not forsake me, sinner, for I have fallen again through lack of self-control: let not a place be given to the crafty demon to overpower me by the force of this mortal body: strengthen the afflicted and sickly hand of mine, and guide me on the path of salvation. Venerable Angel, guardian and protector of my sanctification of soul and body, forgive all those sorrows I have caused thee in all days of my life: and if I have sinned also in this present night, cover me in this day, and preserve me from every temptation by the adversary, that I may not be angry with God in any sin. And pray for me to the Lord, that He may strengthen me in my own passion, and show me worthy of His goodness. Amen.
