O Most Merciful and All-Seeing Lord, my God, who art in heaven, many times hast Thou descended and become incarnate for love of me and all men, that Thou mightest save us all. And again, save me by Thy grace, I beseech Thee: for if Thou hast saved me from deeds, there is no grace or gift but only a greater debt. Thou art rich in mercy and incomprehensible in goodness! For believing in Thee, Thou didst say to Me, O my God, “Thou shalt live and not see death forever.” And if faith without works availeth nothing, yet I believe: save me, for Thou art my God and Creator. But let Thy faith and works be one, O my God; for Thou wilt not find works from the mouth of those who are justified before Thee. Yet let that faith of mine prevail over all, let it declare, let it justify me, let it show me a partaker in Thine eternal glory. Let not Satan deceive me, and boast, saying, “I have wrested thee away from Thy hand and Thy rewards.” But if He wills, save me; if He willeth not, keep my salvation, prepare quickly, quickly, for I am perishing: for Thou art my God from the womb of my mother. Grant that now I may love Thee as I once loved that very sin, and again work without slothfulness for Thee, as before I toiled for Satan with guile. More than ever will I toil for Thee and Thy Son Jesus Christ, in all days of my life, now and always, and for ages of ages. Amen.
Mercy, O Guardian of the life of mankind, angel:
Holy Angel, stand before the consecration of my soul and my life's passions, do not forsake me, nor let the sinner, the demon, prevail over me by lack of self-control: strengthen the afflicted and poor hand of mine, and guide me on the path of salvation. O Holy Angel, guardian and protector of my soul and body, forgive all my transgressions which I have offended Thee in all days of my life; and if I have sinned this present night, cover me in this day, and preserve me from every temptation by the adversary, that I may not be angered against God: and pray for me to the Lord, that He may strengthen me in my own struggle, and show me worthy of His grace. Amen.
