With the holy rest, O Soul of Thy servants,
where there is no sickness, nor sorrow,
nor sighing,

At every season, and in every hour, on high and on earth, blessed Jesus Christ, long-suffering, full of mercy, compassionate to the sinners, lover of righteousness, who by thy promise callest all unto salvation: hear now our prayer in this hour, and make our life according to thy commandments: sanctify our souls, cleanse our bodies, rectify our thoughts, purify our minds, and deliver us from every tribulation and sickness: guard us with thy holy angels: that by their intercession and teaching we may attain the unity of faith, and the incomprehensible glory of thy wisdom; for thou art blessed unto the ages of ages. Most glorious Cherubim, and most renowned Seraphim, we magnify thy unflappable words of God's glory, O Theotokos, that gave birth thereto, being ever present in thee.

O Master, Lord Jesus Christ, our God, long-suffering toward our transgressions, and even until this present hour leading us, in which we hang upon the life-giving cross, with the robber, whom Thou didst make to enter into paradise by death, and didst destroy death by death, cleansing us, O sinful and unworthy servants of Thy hand. For we have sinned and transgressed the law, and are not worthy to behold the face of our Lord and to look upon the heavenly heights: for having left the way of Thy righteousness, we walked in the willfulness of our hearts. But we beseech Thee, O boundless goodness, have mercy on us, O Lord, according to the multitude of Thy mercy, and save us by the name of Thine holy one, as Thou didst disappear from our days, and hast changed our hands into the hands of adversaries, and hast left us our sins, and made our fleshly understanding dead, that we may put off the old man with its deeds, and be clothed in the new: and by Thee shall we live in Thy right hand, and be a benefactor, and thus following Thy commandment, we shall attain to eternal rest, where is the abode of all who are glad, for Thou art indeed the true joy and gladness of them that love Thee, our God. And unto Thee do we send forth glory, with Thy Father without beginning, and Thy Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
