You were the former servant of God, the official, the forefathers of ancient times, who delivered you from many evils, Michael, and you were always present to the Jewish people. For this reason I appeal to you:

Rejoice, thou who delivered Isaac from slaughter;

Rejoice, thou who filled Abraham with joy.

Rejoice, quenching of Ishmael’s thirst;

Rejoice, Hagar who weeps, a strange consolation.

Rejoice, pillar of fire, leader of Israel;

Rejoice, golden cloud covering him on his journey.

Rejoice, thou who saved the firstborn of the Jews;

Rejoice, thou who slaughtered the firstborn of the Egyptians.

Rejoice, bright praise of the Jews;

Rejoice, strong fence of the law.

Rejoice, people brought out of Egypt;

Rejoice, you who brought him to the good land.

Rejoice, servant of the law.
