Thou hast appeared, O Gabriel, the secret receiver of the hidden knowledge and counsels of the Most High, to show foreknowledge of the things to come and to proclaim joyful tidings to the earth-born. For this reason, I am encouraged by love to sing to you:
Rejoice, mirror of the unreasonable light;
Rejoice, messenger of the secrets of God.
Rejoice, insight into hidden counsels;
Rejoice, ineffable revelation of God.
Rejoice, thou shalt shine forth in the mind the hidden knowledge;
Rejoice, thou who shinest light upon the people.
Rejoice, minister of the Divine Gospels;
Rejoice, enlightener of joyful events.
Rejoice, many unclear things have been clarified;
Rejoice, foreknowledge of frequent future events.
Rejoice, to whom joy is infused;
Rejoice, having cast out sorrow.
Rejoice, messenger of grace.
