O Creator of angels and the Lord of strength, open my bewildered mind and tongue to the praise of Your most pure name, as You opened the ears and tongue of the deaf and humming of old, and, as you say, the call is like this:

Most powerful Jesus, deliverance for our first parents.
Sweet Jesus, magnification of the patriarchs;
Glorious Jesus, strengthener of the faithful.
Beloved Jesus, the fulfillment of the prophets;
Precious Jesus, the martyrs of the fortress.
Quiet Jesus, joy to the monks;
Most merciful Jesus, sweetness of the elders.
Most merciful Jesus, abstinence among fasters;
Most sweet Jesus, joy of the venerables.
Most honorable Jesus, chastity of virgins;
Eternal Jesus, salvation of sinners.
Jesus, Son of God, have mercy on me.
