Our chosen and reverend fathers and saints of Christ, Joseph and George, who shone forth with the holiness of your life, and now stand before the throne of the Almighty and have great boldness towards Christ our God! We humbly pray to you with the tenderness of our hearts: pray to the Lord, may He add His mercy to our Orthodox fatherland and grant our most pious sovereign, Emperor Nikolai Alexandrovich, health and longevity and good haste in everything: may He give humanity and zeal for the salvation of the flock to the shepherd of the Church, for the mayor and judges, fear of God, righteousness and selflessness, loyalty to the warrior, courage and victory over the enemy, mutual love and like-mindedness for the spouse, I will buy honesty and righteousness for those who work, for the farmer and all those who work, hard work and sobriety, charity for the poor, healing for the sick, intercession for the offended, justification for the slandered, and for all people everything necessary for temporary and eternal life.
Above all, pray to the Lord, our prayer books [prayer books], may he forgive us every sin, voluntary and involuntary, and cleanse us from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, may He deliver us from the snares of the devil and from human slander, may He confirm us in the saving Orthodox faith and unfeigned piety, and may the mountain teach us to be wise and not earthly. Pray, our fathers, to the All-Holy and Divine Spirit, that peace and silence may reign in our land, that the light of His grace may shine upon all our brethren according to the flesh, who sit in the darkness of false faith and superstition, and that all may know Christ the True God, the Only Savior of all men, and that our brethren of other faiths may come to their senses and come into the fold. The Orthodox Church, in which alone eternal salvation is accomplished.
Pray, reverend fathers, that in peace and unanimity, with a burning desire for salvation, we will work for the Lord, and bear each other’s burdens, fighting a good deed, and thus in the quiet haven of the Heavenly Kingdom we will reach and glorify the ineffable love for mankind and mercy of our Savior, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, with His Beginning Father and the Most Holy Spirit, forever centuries.
