48th Clergy-Laity Congress of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America concludes in Cleveland

The 48th Clergy-Laity Congress of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America officially opened in Cleveland, Ohio, bringing together clergy and lay representatives from across the Archdiocese to reflect on the Church’s mission, ministries, and future growth.
Hosted by the Holy Metropolis of Pittsburgh under the leadership of Metropolitan Savas, the Congress was held under the theme “Let Us Rise and Build” (“Ἀναστῶμεν καὶ οἰκοδομήσωμεν”), emphasizing parish development and the strengthening of Orthodox Christian communities throughout the United States.
The proceedings began with the Service of Blessing (Agiasmos), presided over by Archbishop Elpidophoros of America, who formally inaugurated the week’s sessions. Throughout the Congress, participants engaged in workshops, panel discussions, worship services, and presentations highlighting the diverse ministries and initiatives of the Archdiocese.
