As hath been planted on the forehead of our face, O Lord, the tree of Thy precious Cross, by blood and water most holy, as from the fount of holiness, Thou hast refreshed the ribs of Thine own self, and we, being watered thereby, have a life made manifest.
Thou hast humbled the mighty, Thou hast crushed the powerful, and that which lieth low in the depths of hell, Thou hast raised to life, O Jesus Christ, and upon Thy Spirit hast set the human nature. With them that come unto Thee, bowing down, we glorify Thee.

Faithful, we hymn the Triune Unity, indivisibly united in One Essence: the Uncreated Light, the Trinal Dawn, which hath enlightened us with its Everlasting Radiance.

And:
O God of God, Word of the Father,
Among the judged, because the Lamb was exalted and lifted up, O Lord, on the cross, on the brow, with a spear pierced in the side, He gave us life, Thou Merciful One, through Thy finger, for those believing with faith in Thy holy resurrection, O Christ.
Whose death hath vanquished the power of death by His own death, and hath raised up all believers with Him from the age of the dead, and giveth life and resurrection to all; we therefore with all reverence bow down before Thee.
And He
Irmos: All thy will I desire.
Staff of strength hath been given to nature corruptible, the Word of God in thy womb reading: and this thou hast risen, creeping unto hell. Therefore all-compassionate, as we call thee holy.
Since Thou, O Master, hast deigned to receive the humble handmaiden and mother of Thy people, and all Thy mercies be fulfilled upon her: that we all may glorify Thee as a great Benefactor.
