Irimos:
O Lord, our God, Thou art the Life, and all life is in Thee; Thou art the Power, and all power is from Thee; Thou art the Glory, and all glory is Thine. Ever and always, O Lord, we praise Thee and glorify Thy Name.
For Thou hast created man in Thine Image and Likeness, and Thou dost give him life and breath that he may know Thee and serve Thee. But man, through his own sin and folly, hath fallen into delusion and spiritual blindness; he hath strayed from the path of righteousness and become a stranger to Thy Kingdom.
Therefore, O Lord, have mercy upon us, for we are but creatures of Thine handiwork. Thou art our Maker and Redeemer, and in Thee alone doth our salvation lie. Grant us, therefore, the grace to turn again unto Thee with true repentance, that we may find forgiveness and peace.
For Thou art the Lord our God, and there is none other beside Thee; Thy mercy is great and Thy power is mighty. In Thee we trust, O Lord, for Thou art our only hope and strength in this world of vanity and sin.
Amen.
Without beginning, O Source of our life, God and Lord, having taken flesh from the Virgin, Thou hast been made visible, darkened yet enlightened, gathering together what was scattered: therefore with all singing we magnify Thee, O Theotokos.
As hath been planted on the forehead of man in the temple of thy body, O Lord, this tree of thine own planting, by thy precious blood and holy water, as from the fount of holiness, we are watered, and our life hath become sweetened.
Thou hast humbled the mighty, Thou hast crushed the powerful, and that which lieth low in the depths of hell, Thou hast raised to life, O Lord, the human nature, upon Thee we have placed it, prostrating ourselves before Thee, and we glorify Thee.
Vouchsafed:
Verily, we praise the Triune and indivisible God, confessing with faith: Uncreated radiance, thrice-holy, unsetting light, Thou hast enlightened us with Thy eternal brightness.
And He saith:
Hirmos: By God, by God, the Word:
Among the judged, because the Lamb was exalted and lifted up, O Lord, on the crossbeam, on the browplate spear-thrust, pierced in the side, Thou didst give us life, O Lover of Mankind, by Thy finger, for them that believe with faith in Thy holy Resurrection.
Whose death hath destroyed the power of death by His own death, and hath raised up all the faithful to worship Him even as He rose from the dead of old and giveth life and resurrection to all; therefore let us with all reverence bow down before Thee.

And He
Irmos: All is desired.
The staff of strength was given to nature corruptible, and the Word of God in thy womb reading: and thou didst rise again, having gone down even unto hell. Wherefore, O all-compassionate, we magnify thee.
Wherefore, having willed, O Master, receive the humble supplicant, thy handmaid, and fulfill all thy mercies upon us: that we may henceforth ever magnify thee as our great Benefactor.
