Glory to Thee, O Lord, glory to Thee! For Thou art life (живот) from all eternity; Thou art the light of our soul (души). Through Thee we have understanding and knowledge. By Thy will, O Lord, all things were created (твори́сть); by Thy will they are sustained; by Thy will they shall be destroyed. Not for naught didst Thou create us, O God; but in compunction of heart (умиление) hast Thou made us to know Thee. For Thou art the true Light, which enlighteneth every man that cometh into this world (твори́сть). Through Thee we have understanding and knowledge. Not for naught didst Thou create us, O God; but in compunction of heart hast Thou made us to know Thee.

Agnosťka Roditel'i Syn', Bog i gdĕl', Voipošt'sya ѿ Dvě naň Ꙇvívis'ë, ŭmrachěvšsja prosvětítiti, sobrati rastochénnaëta: těmŭ vsepeťuju Theotokos veličаемŭ.

As hath been planted on the forehead of our face, O Tree precious in Thy sight, which Thou didst command to be blessed with blood and water most holy, as from the fount of holiness, Thou didst anoint the ribs of Thine own self, and we, being watered thereby, have a life made manifest.

Thou hast cast down the mighty, Thou hast loosed the powerful, and that which layeth low in the depths of hell, Thou hast raised up the human nature, upon Thy throne Thou hast set Jesus Christ. With Him, coming to Thee in humility, we bow down, glorifying Thee.

Blessed be Thou, O Lord, our God, and the God of our fathers, from everlasting to everlasting.

Believing with hymns we glorify the Triune Unity, the indivisible and consubstantial Trinity: the Uncreated Essence, the triple Light, the evening star that has enlightened us with its uncorrupted light.

And He saith:

Hirmos: By God, by God, the Word:

Among the judged, because the Lamb was exalted and lifted up, O Lord, on the cross, upon the brow, with a spear-thrust in the side, He gave us life, Thou Master, by Thy finger, for them that believe in Thee, the holy resurrection of Thine ineffable Spirit.

Whose death hath vanquished the power of death by His own death, and hath raised up all the faithful with Him from the age of the dead, and giveth life and resurrection to all; we therefore with all reverence bow down before Thee.

And He

Irmos: All thy will I desire.

Staff of strength hath been given to nature corruptible, the Word of God in thy womb reading: and this thou hast risen, creeping down even unto hell. Wherefore all-blessed art thou, O Thou whom we glorify.

Since Thou hast willed, O Master, to receive the humble supplicant, Thy mother, upon Thine breast, and all Thy mercies shall be fulfilled: that we all may glorify Thee as a great Benefactor.
