Irimos:

Thou, O Lord, hast created man in Thine own image and after Thine own likeness;
and Thou didst give him dominion over all the works of Thy hands,
that he might have his dwelling in the glory of Thy kingdom.

For Thou didst make him a little lower than the angels,
and crowned him with glory and honour.
Thou madest him to rule over the works of Thy hands;
thou hast put all things under his feet:
all sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;

And thou didst give him dominion also over the birds of the air,
over every thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Thou didst crown man with glory and honour,
and didst set him over the works of Thy hands;
all things have been made subject unto him.

Athebegotten Father, God and Lord, becoming incarnate from the Virgin for our salvation darkened to enlighten, gathering together the scattered: therefore with all singing we magnify the Theotokos.

As hath been planted on the forehead of man in the garden of Eden, this precious tree of Thy precept, by blood and by water most holy, as from the fount of holiness, we are made to drink, O our life made manifest.

Thou hast humbled the mighty, Thou hast crushed the all-powerful, and that which lieth low in the depths of hell, Thou hast raised up the human nature, upon Thy throne Thou hast set Jesus Christ. With Him coming to Thee, we bow down and glorify Thee.

Blessed be Thou, O Lord, our God, and the God of our fathers, from everlasting to everlasting.

Faithful, we hymn the Triune Unity, indivisibly united in essence: the Uncreated Essence, the Triply Light, the Evening Star, that hath enlightened us with its Everlasting Light.

And He saith:

Hirmos: By God, by God, the Word:

Among the judged, because the Lamb was exalted and stood forth, O Lord, on the crown, on the brow staff, pierced in the side, Thou gavest us life by Thy finger, as a gift of grace, for them that believe with faith in Thy holy resurrection, O God.

Whose death hath vanquished the power of death by His own death, and having made a mockery of death for all them that believe, we bow down to Thee, as one who raised from the dead in ages past, and giveth life and resurrection to all.

And He

Irmos: All is desired.

Staff of strength hath been given to nature corruptible, the Word of God in thy womb reading: and this thou hast risen, creeping down even unto hell. Wherefore all-blessed thou, as we do thee call.

Since Thou, O Master, hast deigned to receive the humble maiden, Thy handmaid, and fulfill all Thy great mercies upon her: let us all ever magnify Thee as our great Benefactor.
