Glory to Thee, O Lord, glory to Thee! For Thou art life, and we are in Thine image; for Thou art always with us, and we are suddenly taken away. Therefore our hearts are moved with compunction, and we fall down before Thy divine feet, confessing that all our ways are delusions. We are strangers and pilgrims in this world, a spectacle to the angels, a creation under the power of deceit. O Lord, have mercy upon us! For Thou art righteous and Thy glory is exceeding great; and unto Thee do we lift up our souls today, on high, with Thy right hand and might.

As of old the three pious youths Orisil were burned in the flames of Chaldean fire, shining with a bright divine flame and enlightening us, blessed art thou, calling out, O Father of our souls.

Blessed art thou, O God, who in the cross hast revealed the hidden things written in the scriptures, calling the faithful to truth, Father of our spirits.

Blessed art Thou, O Comforter, Who by Thy ribs sheddeth life-giving blood, O God, dropping therefrom upon the earth, Thou hast created them that are of the earth; Blessed art Thou, Caller, calling us, O Our Father.

Blessed be Thou, O Lord, our God, and the God of our fathers, from everlasting to everlasting.

Blessed art Thou, O Lord, who dost call us Thy children.

And He

Hymn: O Mighty Martyr.

Not in vain doth the sun shine upon a man who crieth; but when God Incarnate beholdeth, it is darkened. To Him we sing: Blessed art Thou, O Lord, our God and Saviour.

Blessed art thou, O Lord, Father of our spirits, receiving with strong faith the dreadful and eternal gift, which the righteous souls crying out from afar behold: blessed art thou, God, our Father.

O Theotokos,

Blessed be the treasury of inestimable wealth, O Theotokos, who hast confessed with a pure heart: in thee hath God the Father Incarnate become man for our sake.

And.

This hymn of that same one.

Blessed art Thou, O Lord, God of our fathers, who sittest on high with Thy holy powers, and bear us with Thine immaculate hands: Blessed be Thou, O Father, our Maker.

Death, though thou art our enemy, by conversing with thee thou didst destroy us: Blessed art thou, O Lord, the Praised One of our fathers.

Blessed be Thee, O Theotokos, who didst give birth to God, even though Thou wast a virgin: for Thou didst bear Him who from the womb of thee was made incarnate of Thee.
