O Soul/Spirit, in compunction of heart we cry to Thee:
unto Thee do we flee for refuge from the delusion and spiritual deception which suddenly besets us.
For Thou art our Life, O Lord, and by Thy power all things are governed;
and by Thine authority, O God, no creature can stand against Thee.
Therefore, with fear and trembling we beseech Thee:
save us from the vanities of this world,
that we may attain unto that life eternal which Thou hast prepared for them that love Thee.

In the abyss of sins raging, I invoke the ineffable mercy of Thee, O abyss: from the depths of hell, raise me up.

As sweetly the righteous one was judged and upon the wood was crucified with the lawless, giving up his own gift of blood to those who were entrusted.

By one death man, the first Adam, entered into the world anciently, and by one Resurrection of the Son of God we are justified.

O Theotokos,

Not inexperienced in giving birth, thou didst bear two, O Lady, manifesting the true image of God and His Spirit, thyself becoming both life eternal.

And He

Glory to Thee, O Lord, glory to Thee! Glory to Thy Kingdom, glory to Thy Power, glory to Thy Wisdom, glory to Thy Strength, glory to Thy Riches, glory to Thy Honour, glory to Thee who quickenest the dead by Thy Will. Amen.

Glás glagól molébných o bolě́znennię vlıkо, dušì úulýshav', o lútyh mě̀ izbávi: éédín bo éésì nášegò spárśeni︠a︡ vinóven.

Blestmites polozhil' yesi padašemu, khervivimi dereva zivoţnago, no viděvše ti︠a︡, dvěri ŭverzashas︠t︡︠e︡: gavilse yesi putetvorja razbojniku v ray.

The abyss and all its riches were utterly destroyed by death: for death, though it hid much wealth of treasures, consumed with itself the only Saviour of all us.

And Thee, O Lord.

This hymn to Thee also.

Human nature working in sin, O Lady, reading Thy Word, by Thee shall freedom be attained: for Thy Son, as a Lamb, shall redeem all.

We beseech Thee, O Lord, with true faith the Theotokos, having been grieved, save us: for alone dost Thou have boldness to approach the King.
