Irimos:
Thou, O Lord, hast created man in Thine own image and after Thy likeness;
and Thou didst place him upon this earth to be a steward of all things,
that he might have dominion over the works of Thy hands.
But when sin entered into the world, man was cast down from his high estate
unto the dust of the ground; and death reigned over all.
Thou didst not leave us in our fallen state;
but Thou didst send forth Thine only Begotten Son,
O God, to be the Saviour of the world.
He came down from Thy heavenly throne
and was born of the holy Theotokos,
that He might redeem us by His own precious blood.
Thou didst anoint Him with the Holy Spirit in baptism;
and Thou didst strengthen Him with power through the Spirit,
when He was tempted in the wilderness by the devil.
For though He was without sin, yet for our sakes
He endured all manner of temptations and trials.
Therefore, O Lord, we pray Thee:
Grant us to know Thy will and to walk in it;
to love Thee with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength,
and to serve Thee with a pure conscience.
Deliver us from the snares of the evil one
and preserve us in Thy holy commandments.
For Thou art our only hope and salvation,
O Lord, our God. Amen.
In the abyss of sins descending, I invoke the incomprehensible mercy of Thee, O abyss: from the depths of hell, raise me up.
As sweet as the righteous man was judged and hung upon the wood with lawless ones, even though given up to death by his own gift of blood.
By one death man, the first Adam, entered into the world anciently, and by one resurrection we are justified.
The Theotokos:
Not deceived didst thou bring forth two, and eternal didst thou preserve two, bearing within thee the true image of God's divinity, O Theotokos, and thy God's likeness.

Irimos:
O Lord, our God, Thou art the Life, and all men live by Thee; Thou art the Light, and all men see in Thee; Thou art the Truth, and all men have knowledge of Thee. Through Thee we know what is good, and through Thee we understand Thy commandments. Therefore, we praise Thee with our lips and hearts, for Thou art the Source of all life and light.
O Lord, our God, grant us to see Thee in every creature, for Thou art in all things, and all things are in Thee. Teach us to love Thee more than anything else, that we may find true joy and peace in Thee alone. For Thou art the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no one cometh unto the Father but by Thee.
O Lord, our God, have mercy on us and forgive us our sins, for Thou art full of Mercy and Forgiveness. Grant us to walk in Thy commandments and keep Thy law, that we may be found worthy to enter into Thy Kingdom. Amen.
Glads glagól moliébnikh od bolěznennyi vlekó, duši uslýshav', o lútih izbávi: édin bo esì nashégvo spáseniya vinóven'.
Keepers hath Thou laid down for us, O Lord, the gates of the tree of life, but having seen Thee, the doors were shut fast: for Thou didst turn aside, O Lord, to the robber in paradise.
The abyss and all its treasures were utterly destroyed by death: for it was the one wealth of all of us that death consumed.

Therefore, let us with fear and trembling walk in the way of righteousness, for God is our judge and we are His servants.
The nature of man, working in sin, through Thy reading, O Lady, hath found freedom: for thy Son, as a lamb, shall be ransomed for all.
We receive, O Lord, Thy true Theotokos, who hath been grieved and delivered us: for alone dost Thou have boldness to approach the King.
