Ancient waters, by divine power united and divided into sea and dry land, this God our, highly praised, is such: for in one taking, that He may be glorified.

Who judged the earth, and after sin brought forth thorns, from thorns a crown in the hand of the law-breakers; this is our God, received in the flesh, who broke the curse: That He may be glorified.

Victor and Conqueror of death, Who didst overcome death by Thy death, live: having received the mortal body alive, this is our God, and Thou didst fight with the tempter, all ye raised from the dead: for Thou hast glorified.

O Theotokos,

Verily all tongues glorify Thee, O Theotokos, without seed being born: for Thou didst enter into the sanctified womb of Thyself in the morning, and this God our Lord was made manifest among us; but Thou also wast born of man from Thee.

Second Canon of the Resurrection. Tone 8.

The race of mankind is enslaved by the tormentor of lust for sin, by the precious blood of the Incarnate God defiled and shed, and having been transformed, He renewed: That we may glorify Him.

Because death, desiring death, is the treasure-house of life, O Life:
And because Thou, Immortal One by Thy very nature, didst quicken the dead:
Therefore for Thine glory.

And in the holy place stood the Theotokos, Gladsome Light.

Every knee shall bow, both of the heavenly hosts, having been incarnate from Thee, and also the earth-dwellers, being worthy and coming forth therefrom: for glorification.

Be reconciled to Thee, O Lord! For the blessed are without envy in giving, as God the Spirit freely gives to us our flesh from Thee, that we may glorify Thee.
