With the love of Christ, the wise God, having been enlightened, you were showered with virtues: and having hated all carnal pleasure, and having settled in the desert, you labored as a noble in it in this temporary life, in singing and in vigils and in fasting: for this sake, Christ also enriched you with the gift of miracles.
