O Soul/Spirit of Mine, the Lord hath sweetened me with love of Thee, and changed me by Thy divine will: but I have fallen into the fire of spiritual sin, and Thou hast given me to partake of the enjoyment thereof, that I may glorify Thee more highly, appearing before Thee in presence. In the light of Thy holy countenance, as an unworthy one, I dare to enter; for though it be a place where I am uncovered, being neither married nor bound, and cast out from among the angels: cleanse me, O Lord, the stain of my soul, and save me, for Thou art a Lover of Mankind.
