O Master Lover of mankind, God Jesus Christ, Thou Who didst take upon Thee my soul, let me not be judged with Thy saints for that wherein I am unworthy to stand: but in the cleansing and purification of both soul and body, and in the anointing with the oil of future life and glory. To Me, however, whatsoever is added by God is good, to lay hold of hope of my salvation.

And again: Thy mysteries today, O Lord, are made manifest to Thy servants; for the sake of Thy cross Thou hast been crucified, Thou hast given Thy side, Thou hast bestowed Thy blood; neither have Thy thieves condemned Thee, but have received their due reward: remember me, O Lord, in Thy Kingdom.
