Hearken to my humble soul, O Lord, in its striving and living all my days in sins: by the likeness of the harlot receive me and save me.

Glory: Swiftly shall we meet in the Bridechamber of Christ, that all may hear the blessed voice of our Lord God: Come ye, beloved of heavenly glory, having partaken with the wise virgins, enlightening our faith by our obedience.

O Soul, now: Before thy going out, repentance is a judge unmeasured to the sinful, and intolerable; cry aloud to the Lord with compunction of heart: I have sinned in knowledge and in ignorance, O Merciful, receive me by Thy mercies, and save me.

O Lord, have mercy, and grant peace:

Thee, O Lord, alone holy and unassailable, I confess my sins unto Thee, unworthy as I am: I have sinned, I have sinned, and I am not worthy to lift up mine eyes toward the height of the heavenly glory because of the multitude of my iniquities. But Thou, O Lord, Thy mercy is great; grant me.

Tenderness of heart, only Thee nearest and merciful, by them I beseech Thee, that Thou cleanse me before the end from all sin: for it is fearful and terrible the place whither they go, bodies being separated, and a multitude of my dark and inhuman demons meeting, and none to help.

And rescuing. By this I cleave to Thy holiness, do not deliver me into the hands of my adversaries, lest they mock at me in Thine holy places, and say: Into our hands hath He come, and is delivered up unto us. Remember thee, O Lord, concerning Thy mercies, and forgive me according to Thy righteousness.

Thy mercy, O Lord, do not turn away Thy face from me, but Thou, O Lord on high, judge me with thy mercies and thy lovingkindnesses. Let my enemy rejoice over me nor exalt himself against me; but quench his wrath upon me, and let all his devices be frustrate. Give me a heart humble to Thee, O Good Comforter: for so.

And having sinned, I did not flee to another physician, nor stretched out my hand to a foreign God. Do not reject my supplications, but hear me with Thy goodness, and establish my heart in fear of Thee, that Thy mercy may be upon me, O Lord, as fire falling on unclean things.

In me are thoughts. Thou art, O Lord, above all light: brightness beyond all brightnesses; joy beyond all joys; true life and salvation, abiding for ever and ever, Amen.
