Smiřennuju mou dušu posětǐ gđi, vo grěsěhъ vsë zhitie iždišǔuju: imje obrazom bludniču prjimǐ i meně, i sparsì myę.
Glory: Swiftly shall we meet in the Bridechamber of Christ, that all may hear the blessed voice of our Lord God: Come ye, beloved of heavenly glory, having partaken of the wisdom of the wise virgins, enlightening our faith with our hearts.
O Soul, now: Before thy going forth, O Judge unmeasurable of the sinful, and intolerable, cry to the Lord with compunction of heart: I have sinned, both in knowledge and in ignorance; merciful, hear my supplications and save me.
O Lord, have mercy, and grant peace:
Thou art, O Lord, the One Who is blessed and unapproachable; to Thee I confess my sins, unworthy as I am: I have sinned, O Lord, and I am not worthy to lift up mine eyes unto Thy high heaven because of the multitude of my iniquities. But Thou, O Lord, my Lord, grant me.
Tenderness of heart, O nearest and most merciful, by them I beseech Thee, that Thou mayest be cleansed before the end from every sin: for verily it is fearful and terrible the place whither I go, the bodies being separated, and a multitude of my dark and inhuman demons meeting me, and none to help with a companion.
And Thou, who deliverest. By this I cleave to Thy holiness, do not deliver me into the hands of my adversaries, lest they mock at me in Thine holy name, and say: Into our hands hath He delivered Himself, and He is given up unto us. Remember thee, O Lord, concerning Thy mercies, and forgive me according to Thy righteousness.
Thy mercies, O Lord, do not hide Thy face from me, but Thou, being high, judge me with thy mercy and compassion: let my enemy rejoice over me not, but quench his rage against me, and make void all his devices; and give me a heart humble to Thee, good Lord: for thou art the King.
And having sinned, I did not flee to another physician, nor stretched out my hand to a strange God. Do not reject my supplication, but hear me with Thy blessedness, and establish my heart in Thy fear, that Thy mercy may be upon me, O Lord, for the fire hath fallen upon unclean things.
In me are thoughts. Thou art, O Lord, above all light: brighter than all brightness; sweeter than all joys; peace surpassing all peace: true life and salvation, abiding for evermore, Amen.
